CIMS Ltd will bring in an experienced team to safely manage your shutdown. CIMS has the capacity to provide & manage 600,000 man-hours on an annual basis.

Our preference is to partner with our customers at the planning phase of a project and to jointly develop the scope and approach. Early involvement allows CIMS to maximize the involvement of local hires where possible and gives time to bring added cost and schedule saving innovations to the project.

This approach has allowed us to safely complete large maintenance, shutdowns and capital projects while meeting or bettering schedule and cost estimates.

CIMS has a comprehensive Environmental Health and Safety System. We are COR certified through the Construction Safety Association of B.C.

CIMS has a proven QA/QC System and is both ASME and CWB certified.

CIMS handles most heavy trades in-house and has an extensive group of Subcontractors to assist with other services and disciplines. CIMS is listed as a signatory to the National Maintenance Agreement in Alberta.

Our normal approach is to assign experienced individuals to our project teams:

  • Safety
  • Engineering
  • Planning/Scheduling
  • Estimating
  • Sub Contractor Co-ordination
  • Quality Assurance and Quality Control

This group under the direction of our project manager will work with the client’s representative to develop all aspects of the planned maintenance outage. We have been able to reduce costs and shorten schedules through experience and superior planning. In addition to our staff personnel CIMS Ltd has a large following of unionized hourly trade people that prefer to work with us.

CIMS Ltd Site Project Team is available and will be dedicated to your project. As more information is gained that team will be increased or decreased to meet project requirements. Through the planning stages this team will work primarily from our office in order to reduce living out and travel costs but will spend as much time as necessary on site. CIMS brings a proven record of safe, well managed maintenance and capital project experience.
